Here is why the development between Opera and MultiversX is brewing in the crypto realm
According to the announcement, MultiversX is now fully supported in the Opera Wallet available across all Opera Desktop Browser products and Opera for Android with Web3 support, fulfilling the company’s previous announcement regarding coming collaborations with MultiversX. This integration brings a whole new level of accessibility to the MultiversX ecosystem and will support the ongoing adoption of Web3 technologies.
The blockchain focusing on metaverse, MultiversX, previously Elrond, is collaborating with the crypto-centric browser Opera to provide support for its expanding ecosystem. With the integration of the MultiversX network into Opera’s interface, users can navigate the decentralized web. The network’s native tokens, EGLD or ESDT, can be used for transactions, and users can engage with NFTs based on MultiversX, as well as access decentralized apps on the network.
The MultiversX network can be accessed by users via its proprietary tokens, NFTs, and decentralized apps, all through the Opera browser interface.
MultiversX’s CEO, Beniamin Mincu, in an interview with CoinDesk, stated that the integration of their network into Opera provides a more accessible route into the Web3 ecosystem.
Mincu further noted, “Incorporating MultiversX into the Opera browser suite provides a familiar and accessible avenue for users to tap into Web3’s potential. It marks a crucial stride towards establishing a straightforward and low-threshold entry to the Web3 and blockchain realm. This allows users to easily navigate the evolving digital economy without the necessity to comprehend its inherent intricacies.”
It is worth noting that users interested in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) can connect with NFTs on the MultiversX platform. Based on the announcement, access to decentralized apps developed on MultiversX is set to be available in the coming weeks.
It is worth highlighting that at the end of September 2022, Opera unveiled similar news. However, at that time, MultiversX was Elrond. In September’s announcement, the company claimed that the collaboration will allow users to directly access decentralized applications (dApps) and other services available on Elrond.
What is MultiversX?
MultiversX, previously known as Elrond, is a technology ecosystem for the new internet. It prides itself on one of the fastest and cheapest transactions in the cryptocurrency world. Reportedly, MultiversX should be able to do 15,000 transactions per second (TPS) with transaction costs of a fraction of a cent.
MultiversX is described as a blockchain platform for everyone. It aims to be mostly used for the new economy built around the Internet and decentralized applications or enterprises. It also prides itself on being the first protocol that has implemented transaction, network, and state sharding have all been implemented. Thanks to this it aims to provide high scalability of transactions.
